The founder of the restaurant chain is the Kurdish-Turkish Nusret Gökce. He is a butcher, chef and restaurateur and opened the first Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Istanbul in 2010 with his partner, Mithat Erdem. Since then, both have been regarded as ambassadors of steak culture in Istanbul. Nusr-Et now has a total of over 20 branches, with several locations in Istanbul and others in Ankara, Bodrum, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Miami, New York, Mykonos, Dallas, London, Boston Beverly Hills, etc.. Currently, there is Nusr-Et Steakhouse and Nusr-Et Burger.
