The Da Vinci Surgical Device is a robot-assisted surgical system that enables "minimally intrusive" surgical procedures. In 2012, the Da Vinci surgical systems performed an anticipated 200,000 procedures and will reach a global installed base of 4,986 units in 2019-2020.
